"Biodynamic training today has the potential to be much more than an act of giving and receiving knowledge. It can be a learning path that enables people to reconnect with their soul and spiritual nature."

Path of Self-Discovery
With about 10 years of experience working with biodynamic farmers, I have grown to love biodynamics. My own relationship with nature has become deeper and more sensitive in the meantime.
During my time with Demeter and at the Landbauschule Bodensee e.V., I designed and led many seminars. The intention of the participants was to re-understand their relationship with nature. In practical agriculture, this is a working relationship. The participants wanted to go beyond the functional in this relationship. So I started to develop exercises that support this path. This is very enjoyable in practice. The exercises often become a powerful moment of "gathering together".
The way I encounter nature here is the way I encounter myself!
What I've been working on is also on the minds of other trainers. In a loose network that spans the entire globe, we come together again and again for conferences, train-the-trainer sessions and webinars. We talk about our experiences and ask very specific questions:
How do you do that?
The answers to the question "How do you do it?" are collected in a handbook. The question was modified to:
What is the exercise you like most?

Learning Biodynamics is published by Biodynamic Federation Demeter International e.V., May 2024, Maria Paz Bernaschina (Editor).
Learning Biodynamics is an OPEN-SOURCE PUBLICATION. The use of texts and images from this manual is only permitted with a reference to source.
Learning Biodynamics invites you to try it out, to practize. Whether in a seminar or with an experience group, alone or with a few friends. These are exercises that are possible in almost any environment.
What are my favorite exercises that are published here?

At this point, I would also like to share two methodological contributions that I wrote for the handbook. Because when we learn and practise together, a wide variety of discussion constellations arise in the course of a seminar. In a second article, I have put together questions that invite feedback and individual conclusions from the participants. I see these as two essential management tools for participant-centered learning processes.
